I have a use case where I want to build landing pages on my storefront for fundraising organizations I work with like schools, clubs, churches. I have a dedicated product collection for each organization that lets me track their members purchase and make a donation. So far so good.

My goal is to have their members go to the landing page, add products to cart without leaving the page. The Product Grid, while nice looking with the presets is too limited and does not offer enough control (usual problem of loaded elements with sub-elements).

So I built my own product card using product image element (set to no link to PDP page), product title, description, price, variant, quantity, add to cart. With the drawer cart, the results pretty good and I manage to keep user on the landing page.

My challenge is that users do not know much about the product on the page when they arrive. Ideally I'd have a "Quick View" button on the image that displays more details about product (description, nutritional info, shipping info, etc). I do not want them to leave the page because if I link to the PDP, there's no easy way to return to the landing page (not on the main menu).

Issue: you cannot add a "Quick View" button on the product image element; you can add a button with a URL, you can simply not make it behave like a quick view. It'd be a nice improvement. This approach would ensure this is modular enough so you can apply it on any button tied to a product.

PS: I would not fix it in the Product Grid because of the countless design variations that customers need; you simply cannot keep adding options/properties. A neat but much more complex way to fix it would be to open up the "Presets" platform wise and let anyone create their own. Ideally, you can prompt ChatGPT or Claude to create new presets, assuming you have a good doc on your APIs with best practices, etc that it can ingest.
